In the year 1993 the turning point in my life happened after 24 years of work, when I applied my mind on Neuroscience – Brain Biology.  I was fascinated.

Today I talk about how the brain works.. hmmm!!!!! that’s quite tiresome to listen, and I found most people switch off due to stress so I started combining some Mythology with my talk.

Hence this head fusion called wordcreates.  Adding Mythology to Neuroscience and any which way.

It’s surely fun the possibilities are immense when you know how to work your so-called ‘weakness’ through your strengths and vice versa.

Iam going to start my talk with a display of 3 different objects that will be presented to them.  A nice box of chocolates, a fine silk Saree  and a copy of Ramayana.   Then I tell them to choose_ be truthful to yourself I would implore_ expecting most of them to say ‘BOX OF CHOCOLATES’

And if they say THE BOOK, they are lying and my party is pooped  But I rely on  the truthfulness within every human being.

What happens when 3 such choices are presented? I will inquire from them.  Then I will answer them saying a dance happens within. In some there will be a simple jig and in some a complete performance of a classical form.   There is a dance of neurons that are in the three parts of the brain –  impulsive, emotional and the rational.

And this dance within must happen.

An impulsive mind considers a woman as an object of pleasure or intoxication that is from  the basest part of the brain emerging,  and when she is looked upon as a home maker, a lover, a caregiver- it is the emotional side that is firing.  And then when we look at her as an achiever its the rational side.  Typically the woman is not either of these nor is she all of these.

The woman is the dance or the struggle that happens between these three.  In Ramayana Sita is personified as this inner struggle of Jivatma. She is hence the dance.

Then who is man?  Who is Rama?  The result of all this struggle is the man. A man who willingly sacrifices pleasure and embraces Dharma.  So the woman is the one who gives birth to a man she is  the one who who helps him to emerge.  Or as the Bible says “a helper suitable for him”

So we, as evolved minds, must look at woman from this perspective.  We are here to celebrate the inner struggle of the Jivatma.

If you really want to dance for your grandchildren you ought to give yourself to these inner struggles.  For it is these struggles that give you the pep in your goose step as you grow old, it provides the music within, you become wise and you are filled with stories.  And your grand children  will  throw away their toys, their play stations, shut of the Television and want to sit on your lap, smell your hair, bask in the breath of your nostrils, swing on the words that your speak and get the joy of their life from you. And then will they be born.

Fear not to struggle… Oh Woman!!!!!!

I was wondering what I would do if I were sitting in position of  leadership of DMK.  Even as you are busy nibbling into the fruits of the profitable portfolios in the center you suddenly wake up to realize that your dumb coalition partners, who were tugging to your pigtails, have nibbled into your cheese right under your nose.

And you are left with just 120 seats to contest?

Who says money can buy you power?  it cant even buy you the illusion of power.  It can probably give one the power to claim power.

The Brits used to boast about the sun never setting in the British empire,   now dont ask me _ where is Britain?.  In case you dont know its next to Ireland.  (you can google Kevin O Brien to find out where Ireland is)

For DMK the sun never sets, it rises.  Its stuck between those two mountains peeping and just throwing enough light, but not enough for you to be able to see the dark corners.  If this sun were to rise and be allowed to glow those two leaves would have withered away, but the sun never rises over here neither will it set.

Now those  mountains are becoming ant hills .  The sun is shrinking,  but the intensity of the heat has increased.

Whats going to happen in the coming elections is anybody s guess, the length to which these wily DMK strategists have gone to manipulate the election commission to have the assembly elections in April (midsummer) is deplorable.  The sun will shine the Sun TV will beam the brand DMK gets high recall or top of mind.    That makes me want to complain to CEC to do something about this.  A massive canopy of sorts to cover up the sun from shining at least one month prior to the polls  and of course stop get Sun TV to settle for blank screen.

For all those who support this can comment on this post to give me the solidarity to stand up to this wanton display of  wealth.

Remember after this World Cup Cricket there is this huge pajama circus called IPL.  These highly insured  star players are not going to stretch themselves for this world cup _ fearing injury and subsequent omission from IPL and eventual loss of revenues.  Most established cricketing countries may not stretch themselves beyond a point too.  Honestly why should they?  between money and pride its the former that scores.. But the new countries  have nothing to loose they will be the ones who will play cricket the right way so that we the followers can enjoy it.

Thats what Kevin O Brain of Ireland said in the interview after winning against England, he said that he actually went for his shots for he did not want the ones who were watching TV do be disappointed.

Now guys if in case you want to know

First it was that talented gum chewing flamboyant West Indies who bit the dust after losing to Indian in 1983 world cup, then the arrogant Australia had to go down under recently, Ireland will keep England busy. Countries like Zimbabwe, Bangladesh must rise up.  There is surely something charming about the real underdog winning.

I am of the opinion that eventually it will be Pakistan that will make it in cricket, for they keep engineering their own crisis so very regularly and they get stronger by the day.  They sure don’t need an opposing team to sand paper them.

India, is brimming with a bunch of commercial mannequins, and these fluffy soft dolls may not last for long.. Unless some toughies like Dhoni emerge from the smaller towns.

The game may not be big fun… the side lights seem to pack lots of entertainment.

There was a season when I woke up early went for a nice brisk walk, read my papers, did some little work at home (the compliances) and off in the car to the gym.  After 1 hour of work outs, a chill bath at the gym, I got on to my work clothes went to nearest super market picked up soya milk with some fruits and corn and reached office fresh as a just diced cucumber.

You cant ask for more when it comes to this kind of lifestyle ….. you may call it the ideal.  Thankfully Iam do not have a clock mechanism ticking inside me, I indulge in such ‘ideal’ lifestyle trips occasionally and quickly get into normal life of waking up scratching head, glugging tea, chilling with newspaper and sit hunch backed at the computer.   Then painfully  gather myself and off to work.

Two extreme positions one gets you into office fresh and in the other case you are still sleepy.

After many years of thought on this matter I realized its best to be lazy and yet accomplish all that you have to do.  Lets find out why.

When you work with a fit body you sure do very well but then you start depending on setting up ideal conditions to be able to work, hence when conditions are not perfect you cease to work.  Alternatively when you train yourself to work in any condition you will operate with a larger bandwidth.  You can take up any challenge.

The Story

Sister Mary Joseph Praise lands up in Addis Ababa, she is a nun.  Yet she give birth to twins and reaches eternal home.  The twins, Marion (the narrator of the story) and Shiva are brought up by Dr. Ghosh and Dr. Hema who work in the same hospital.  Shiva is action oriented while Marion is a thought guy.  They were co joined at birth and separated by an operation.  Shiva messes up Marion’s love life with his thoughtless action and Marion is distressed.

Now comes the Bollywood Masala.  The main characters converge towards the end in an hospital in America, the usual tear jerker happens.

The author has a dig at corporate hospitals that handle big time patients.. well that was an eye opener for me. The complicated commerce in health care is humorously laid down.

Surely a worthwhile book to handle, moves fast, with some medical jargons as speed breakers may bump you. The secrets that they handle and the letters that pop up at the right time adds to the drama.

Just in case the picture on the cover gives you the wrong message the stone has got nothing to do with getting stoned on weed.. its the text in Hippocratic oath which says – I will not cut for stone.

Little bit of Ethiopian History is thrown it.  Most of the characters are from Madras .. so if you are Madrasi you are sure to find some some historic references to Madras whipping up some nostalgia.

Over all worth the read.. I dont find stars out here.  I will give this book 3.82 stars

Two score and ten years of which the Q1 was spent finding my feet.. Q2 using them for play… Q3 using them for work and Q4 will be finding my  feet again…

One wants rewind the years, relive those times.  Hold the red cherry (cricket ball) swing the willow, gallop on the field like calves delivered from the womb.  These thoughts linger now and then. The one sided spirit and the body tourney is played every day.  The body consistently wins the battle.

Last Sunday the ME in ME decided it was time to put this arrogant body in its place and send it for a leather hunt.  So the ME in ME decided to sign up for cricket and play the game full length.

I got to see now pride and arrogance has been the reason for many a mans fall.  My body displayed that same arrogance on that day, a bad loser.  It tightened its grip all over me – my feet, my thighs, my hip, my back and my shoulders came under rapid machine gunfire.

Yet my spirit won the duel on that day.

My body – the bad loser – had his way for the next 3 days, pummeling my joints and trying to break my spirit.

Even as my Spirit tasting blood and flesh, savors its victory holds its banner aloft  as its screams … Oh!!!! body were is thy sting….. and ye flesh were is thy victory

we have surely come a long long way.

I baked a cake at home yesterday…. I dint have to get a certificate from pollution control board.

I decide to handle my life the way I want,  the Ministry of Human Resources cant do fig about it.

I still avail my rations,  I use electricity and water.  The drainage system works, though at times it reminds me of its existence by peeking out its channel.

I ride on the wrong side of a one way street confidently to make people who come the right way scratch their head

I curse the rulers, criticize them right under their nose sitting  beside the TV screen.

I wear whatever I want the Textile Ministry dare not interfere.

I spend mindlessly no one dares to tell me how to do it.. if  Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter try to come up with their suggestions I shut them out.

The other day I walked into Croma store for checking out an IPad, asked a thousand questions and walked out.

I pick up whatever books I want on Flipkart or Amazon.

I write poop on my blog and people get to read it.

Today I did it for the first time. I was trying to talk to a stone. Then suddenly I gently excused myself and walked off. Not the ‘to hell with your assignment attitude’. We are all prone to mistakes. The reasonable thing for intelligent people to do is work judiciously and be able to foresee the consequences and work out methods and tactics to do course corrections.

Hmm!!! Well then not many want to do it. Its work. Lets take one step at a time may also mean lets not think too much. If thinking is not going to be appreciated then its best to step aside and allow the thoughtless to have their way.

Thoughtless to have their way? Yeah there is a risk of them getting punch drunk on success. Well thats life.
